A series of pictures of what's happening in Deddington about now
As part of his 80th birthday celebrations, Derek Cheeseman, Chairman of Deddington Cricket Club, took to the skies to raise funds for the Club and Dogs for the Disabled. The sponsored skydive took place on 20 September at Hinton Airfield. Derek raised the impressive sum of £1200 - well done that man! Here's hoping for a soft landing ...

farmmktred Deddington Farmers' Market celebrated its 8th Anniversary on Saturday, 26 September. At its biggest market of the year, with over 50 stalls present, shoppers and visitors were entertained by a jazz band, balloon modeller and a Punch and Judy show. A collection of owls from Owls Galore and the NFU Farm and Farming Road Show provided extra interest (Pic Geoff Todd)
The PTA's major fund-raising event of the year: the annual fete held on the school field on 20 June. Hugo Ransom is the marksman throwing the sponge; James from year one is jousting with Josh Herbert looking on; and the teachers being splattered are Mrs Cross & Mrs 'P' (Pics Alan Collins) fete1

The PTA's 5th Annual Walk took place on Sunday 17 May 2009. Sadly there was no glorious weather as last year, but many intrepid souls nevertheless braved the elements. Characters for the stewards this year were well-known figures in the music industry, Bob Marley and Madonna being just two. (Pics supplied by the PTA)

February 2009 brought the heaviest snowfall for many years with much of the country's business grinding to a halt, and children having unscheduled holidays and bunking off to go sledging with their dads.
